Vega BanjosThe Vega Company was one of an illustrious group of musical instrument manufacturers trading in Boston at the latter part of the 19th and early part of the 20th centuries. In 1904, Vega acquired the instrument manufacturing firm (primarily building banjos) previously operated by A. C. Fairbanks. Vega also acquired the plectrum instrument division of Boston's Thompson & Odell Company In 1989, the Deering Banjo Company purchased the Vega name and began producing Vega banjos of a very high quality. | ||
