A banjo strap helps the banjo player keep the banjo stable when in a sitting position or allows him to play standing up. Banjo straps are worn over just the right shoulder, or, over both shoulders like a guitar strap. The straps usually hook onto the brackets via a hook, a loop, or by a tie strap.
